Horse-size saddle pads fit very well on size D ponies. You can therefore choose a "Horse / D Pony" size saddle pad rather than a pony size.

Pro Tip

A well-fitting saddle pad should follow the backline without pulling or wrinkling, clearly clear the withers once the saddle is girthed, and remain stable during work without slipping back or twisting. It should not create any excess thickness under the saddle panels or extend excessively beyond the saddle. After the session, even perspiration, with no noticeable dry patches or rubbing, is an excellent indicator: it is a sign of correct pressure distribution and optimal comfort for the horse.
