Fitting

The pony saddle girth must be chosen at the correct length so that the buckles are positioned in the middle of the girth straps, without riding up too high or interfering with the elbow. It should sit naturally in the girth groove, flat against the horse's belly.

Girth tightening should be done gradually and evenly on both sides. The tension must be sufficient to ensure saddle stability, while still allowing the horse respiratory freedom: two fingers should be able to fit between the girth and the belly.

Checking after a few minutes of walking is recommended, as the pony saddle girth may settle into place with movement. A good fitting guarantees comfort, safety, and longevity of the equipment.
