After each session, remove hair and dust stuck between the teeth. A quick hand clean or a curry comb scraper is enough. Horses appreciate avoiding “mud-filled” grooming that pulls on the skin. For deeper cleaning, rinse the curry comb with lukewarm water and mild soap or liquid Marseille soap. Gently scrub so the teeth stay flexible and do not deform.

Pro tip: if dirt builds up in the grooves, use an old toothbrush to clean them. It almost feels like new again! Let it air dry, teeth facing down or on its side. Never place it in direct sunlight or on a radiator, as this makes the plastic brittle.
